This week is MAKEOVER WEEK on Biggest Loser!!! Gosh I wait a-l-l season for it lol. We're going to have a Makeover Week party at my house! It's going to be a healthy appetizer potluck- everyone brings an appetizer/snack food that is low fat/low cal and we'll watch the Makeover Week episode together. Gosh I can't wait!!!

Trying to drown myself in water to offset the major sodium from eating Mexican yesterday. But I'm not sorry I ate it... had chicken fajitas, only ate 2 tortillas (gave the 3rd to my hubby), ate no cheese or sour cream or guac. Only chicken, peppers, and salsa. And ooooh was it delicious :)

I haven't seen the scale budge a bit this week. I feel like I'm in a slump. I'm failing miserably at my higher protein attempt. I wonder if I've reached my first real plateau?

Well I didn't lose 2 like I'd hoped for to make it 100 lbs lost... but next week it's mine :). Did Hip Hop Abs with my sis-in-law (for the 5 minutes she did it before she gave up) last night after Biggest Loser. It was the Fat Burning Cardio one, and in the past when I'd tried it I only made it about 5-10 minutes into it. Last night I did the full 30 minute routine without stopping, without losing my breath, and without feeling tired. It just felt fun and got me a little pumped up. That just shows you what a difference it makes when you lose weight- it makes your body more capable of doing tasks that were once grueling. I may not be "in shape" and physically able to do what every normal-sized healthy person can do, but my body is getting smaller and stronger and more capable every day that I work to lose the fat that's holding me back. And yes, sis-in-law gave up almost right away, even thought we were laughing and having fun with it. That would've been an easy chance to give up myself and be lazy, but I chose to keep going even though everyone was sitting watching me (and my brother was criticizing my moves and telling me I wasn't squatting low enough... as he sat on his BEHIND while I did it).
I'm proud of all that I've accomplished, all that I've become, and all that I am going to achieve in the future. I'm not boastful, because I know I couldn't have come this far without the help of God. Whew... sorry that was a long post. I didn't even know I had that much to say! haha. Have a good day, buddies (:

I have noticed a trend in my diet calendar; carbs take up about half of my intake every single day. When I really work at it, I have about 25% protein, 25% fat, and 50% carbs. Hmm. I've been losing weight and all, but I wonder what I could do to work at making it 50% protein instead. I don't feel like eating boiled eggs every day lol. I did try Greek yogurt for the first time yesterday and it was pretty good, and I know it has more protein than regular yogurt, so I could probably work it into my routine. Any other suggestions FS buddies? More protein, that's the goal :)
