Well..here we are again, back at it! I am determined to see "myself" reflecting in the mirror again. I have a conference coming up in August and last years conference I didn't feel good in my own skin. I want to feel beautiful again to myself. I'm over 40 now so it is time to get this body back into shape! I am doing a keto diet. I need about 123g of good fats, 64g of protein, 20g or less carbs to be in ketosis.I started last week with Dr. Oz 21 days program which was similar but all plant based, no dairy. I've switch back to meat/dairy. I've lost 3 pounds since last Tuesday so that is pretty good and even though I can't see a difference I can feel a difference. I've been drinking lots of water, eating lots of low carb veggies etc. For sure been going through Keto-Flu. Oh my goodness, last week I dealt with headaches and felt so freakin foggy brained. It was hard to connect my thoughts and kind of felt high... sort of. SO... I'm offering myself a cheers to a new me! Woo Hoo!

So I started doing a LCHF "diet" putting a lot of trust into eating high fat (50% of calories) lowered carbs and such. I started at 187lbs so I've already lost a few pounds. I am on week 2, I am still surprised I've been able to enjoy coffee without any sweetner. I've been surprised that my cravings haven't been horrible every once in awhile I long for a piece of bread or even rice. For the most part it has been easy to follow. Going for inches lost on this one. Phase 2 starts next week.

Start and stop start and stop. Had gotten up to 184 point something this week and finally had enough. Did a 2 day no carb deal and I'm down almost 4 pounds. I will take it. So, I am back on the wagon again. If I can stop smoking, I can lose weight and get lean. On a real positive note... I have been exercising 2-3 times a week and I am seeing tone arms and such which is exciting. My legs have always been strong but they are looking good too. Now to get that gut!
