losing 6.3 lb a week
26 September 2009
I was married in August 2007, and began gaining weight. In September of 2007, I was having intense pain that resonated through my chest. I immediately went to my doctor and he quickly diagnosed me with Gall Bladder problems and October 23, 2007 I had my gall bladder removed. As a precaution, my doctor said I should have my cholesterol checked because I had some gall stones and that is often caused by high cholesterol levels. Well, he was right. I ate like he told me to for a month and lost 10 lbs but couldn't keep up. Fast forward to 2009, my weight skyrocketed to almost 200 lbs. If that wasn't bad enough, I had to have another surgery for endometriosis. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. So, a month ago I went to a new doctor and started talking to him about my weight. As I was talking he offered a diet pill but then decided against that due to my cholesterol problems. He decided I should see a dietician that deals with alot of diabetics. I saw her and have decided to give it a full go. For a month, I have been eating right, but more than that, I have had portion control and limited sodium and sugar. In one month I lost 11 lbs. She asked that I keep a food diary and I did, but she said I did not have enough variety in my diet to make this a lifestyle change and that I would give up due to eaing the same thing every day. So, here I am, looking for recipes that can give me nutrition facts. I need not only low fat but also low cholesterol, low sodium and low sugar meals that are reasonably priced and that I can make ahead and take on the go and possibly snack on discretly while stuck in court for hours on end a work. Maybe I am looking for miracles, but if you have any suggestions, I would love to here from you. One more note, my exercise is limited due to long commute, but I am working on that.
