100% my fault. Hubby stopped at Publix to get his soda. Our son demolished his supply of Coke Zero. He came home with 3 bags of Ruffles also. Well, I should have fasted for a day or two after my son went back to his ship. I didn't. I grabbed one bag of them and chowed on down. I did stop before I ate the whole bag. Not by much though. The next day I split the last bag in half and ate my half. Nope, it's all on me. I know better. I also made mac and cheese with ground beef for dinner, just to top it off. Today is now a fasting day. Time to reset after that binge. I might just fast until tomorrow but if I'm not to hungry (hangry really) I will just continue. My son will be home again for New Years. He requested 2nd leave. When's he home for 12 days this time I will not allow this to happen again. I will stay on my woe and just open up on the time. If I have a treat meal it will be only 1 meal and not multiple meals. I did make chicken bone broth last night so if I need it I can have it. Not a true water fast but it will help reset the cravings. The broth will help me go longer if I want to. BTW hubby is longer allowed to bring home Ruffles or Wise chips. They are my nemesis. He can bring home any other brand he wants.

Over the time my son was home (We drove him to the airport last night :( ) I have neither lost nor gained weight. I consider that a win. Back to my woe and a healthier life. I had 4 treat days/meals in 10 days. I cooked my son whatever he wanted. Lasagna, pierogies, potato pancakes, fresh bread, we had chinese food and the list goes on. I hadn't seen him in just over 7 months. When he comes home for 12 days over new year's I won't be quite as bad. I'll still spoil him but not quite as much. The chinese food we got yesterday did upset my tummy. After we finished early voting (otherwise no vote for the boy) I ordered it on the way home and we picked it up. If we ever want chinese food again I need to find a different place. Their food is just okay but their wings were not that good. I did find out that sugar and rice upset the tummy the most for me and potatoes were more neutral on it.

I haven't made potato pancakes in many years. I have never made them by myself really. I always helped my dad make them and wanted them to taste like his. Somehow I remembered everything he did and they tasted just like his. I was so happy and I started crying because he could have made them and I miss him. Just a minute or so but I actually felt better afterwards.

Thanksgiving is coming up and I have to start meal planning. I cook the staples for everyone but want some for me on my woe. I think a keto pumpkin cheesecake is coming up soon. No one on hubby's side likes cooking so they were happy to let me take all the holidays. I was worried they would upset I volunteered but nope. I can make whatever I want for myself and they are happy they don't have to cook or clean. I won't let them. I'm particular about loading the dishwasher and even hubby isn't allowed to load it. Besides I don't want my pots and pans finish to be scratched or damaged and hubby has done that a few times on my old ones. These were my Christmas gift last year and I refuse to let them be destroyed.

Some of the sunburn is gone. I still have red patches and a rash. Joy. Sticking with the woe I've been doing with some treat meals. I need to find something low carb, higher calories for a afternoon snack. I've just been grabbing cheese but want to find something else. My stomach was okayish after cheddar's but I don't want to upset it with chinese food. My son wants potato pancakes so tonight I'll make those. (Just like my dad did) I won't be able to stop myself from eating them. My dad was the best cook. When I was growing up thankfully my mom did most of the cooking and dad only did it sometimes. If my dad cooked all the time I would have weighed what I do now in high school. My mom said she was a good cook but she really wasn't. Tonight's meal will be my last treat meal for a while. After my son leaves to go back to Norfolk I'll have to buckle down for a while. My birthday will be my next scheduled treat meal/day. That's about a month from now. It won't be my actually birthday though. We have court that day. We are suing our former landlord for our deposit back and not to pay the additional 3k bill she sent us to collections for. After 13 years of living there she remodeled when we moved out and wants us to pay for it. No, that's not how it's supposed to work.
