I am on a mission to lose 115 pounds before my 47th birthday, 11/22/1969. Quick Weight Loss Centers will provide me the tools to achieve my goals.

Things I miss about being thin:
(1) Living in a body that is easy to maneuver.
(2) Shopping for cute clothing in the regularly sized clothing section.
(3) Being pain-free in my back.
(4) Not carrying around very heavy breasts.
(5) Receiving compliments on my looks.
(6) Feeling fortunate that I have not been diagnosed with a weight-related disease.
(7) Not being apprehensive about video Skyping.
(8) My knees not making a crunching noise as I walk upstairs.
(9) Having my man want to be with me.
(10) Having a body that is easier to bathe.
(11) Taking naps on the couch without a CPAP.

Depression, Thyroid, Non-Insurance
Hi, Alisha. I suffer from both hypothyroidism, depression, and anxiety. You should be able to find medical care that is on a sliding scale, based on income. That way, you pay what you can and do not go into debt to restore your health.

Did you know that thyroid medication can potentially cure 32 different ailments? Obesity and depression are among those 32 ailments.

When I was tested for thyroid issues, I was going to bed at 6 PM each night. I could not hold my head up after 6 PM. The test showed that I do not make T2, T3, or T4, so I take 2 thyroid medications. You will be tested to see if your T3 is converting itself to T4.

Your depression may resolve after taking thyroid medication, or it may not. Testing, medication, and time will tell.

I also have an issue with metabolizing folic acid, and 60% of the country has the same issue I have. To combat the inability to properly metabolize folic acid, I take a supplement I order from Amazon. It's called Methyl B Complete. The maker is Pure Therapro RX. This is a methylated form of folic acid that those of us, who have issues metabolizing it, can absorb. My doctor told me that years ago, many with depression were only given this supplement, and it cured their depressive issues. I can definitely say that it did lighten up my depression a bit, and it provided more energy. My doctor said you can take the cheapest supplement out there. The reason I take this particular brand is because my daughter's pediatrician recommended this brand and had strong feelings about it.

Once you find out what your body is missing, other things like weight and depression will fall into place. You will feel as if you're thriving and not only surviving.

All the best,
Paula

Weight loss
To other people, I say, "Now, let's discuss your body composition." No one seems to like that, but it shuts them up real quick.

My Last 30 Pounds
Hello, Healthy Living Family,

I lost 83 pounds during the last year. I have just 30 pounds to lose. I am thinking that losing these last pounds by Christmas may be manageable.

I went from a size 20/22 to a size 12. Up top, I went from a 2X/3X to a size large. With Covid, I have not been exercising, but it's time to get on some sort of program at home.

My shadow and my reflection look foreign to me. It's so strange. The rare couple of times I went shopping during this pandemic, I felt like someone was going to come tell me to leave the misses section and go to the plus-sized section. Is PTSD from being heavy possible?

My 2 goals for this year are to get down to a BMI of 24.9999, which is 159 pounds, and the other is to get a job in my field, as I'm currently living off of my retirement. That's not good at all.

All the best in your weight-loss journey!
Paula

How do you not fall of the wagon?
I told my body that if it loses the weight this year, it will never be asked to lose that particular pound again. It's working. 9 pounds since 1/6/2014. I will lose 86 more by Christmas. I eat pretty much what I want, only less. I try to eat more protein than I normally would. For example, yesterday, I ate a 1/2 Fuddrucker's burger, no cheese, with mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, onions and mustard. No fries. I was plenty full afterward. That was about 750 calories and my biggest meal of the day. So, pass up fries, rolls, desserts. If you want a cupcake or a cookie, have 1. I tell myself I can have some next year. Keeping the weight off is easier than losing, so I plan on maintaining with my fat secret app.

You can do it!
