Yay, pleased to say the scales gave me another 1.2bls off the bodywork... so now reached my second goal of 20lbs, with a total of 20.6lbs lost since 7 April. Seems to have taken forever... but actually at approximately 7lbs gone a month, cumulatively it all adds up. So it's now giving me further motivation to keep going.

Tomorrow evening, I'm off to a festival with hubby and some friends. Just hoping the weather improves as it's just been horrible rain today! Should be a fun evening though and everything is free after ticket entry. We went last year and had a fantastic time. There were lots of fast food wagons and unlimited ice-cream, so I'm just going to remember "everything in moderation". Life is for living... so I'm not going to stress over an evening out and let it derail me. Last year, they had 4 bands playing throughout the evening, so we'll no doubt be doing lots of dancing again which should take care of a few additional calories.

Well, I hope you've all had a great week and have a fab weekend too!

I could have so easily got derailed last weekend as we went camping at Fowey in Cornwall, which was lovely. I had a few rum and diet cokes in the pub on the Friday night... love gin, but don't really like slimline tonic and I've found that most pubs don't seem to do diet lemonade. On Saturday we visited the National Trusts Lanhydrock House where I treated myself to a piece of coffee and walnut cake and thoroughly enjoyed! Alas, everything in moderation they say, but the key is to make lifestyle changes that you can stick with. I'm finding it much easier over the summer months to eat lots of salads for lunch, but also prefer cooking from scratch... much, much tastier than a lot of pre-packed stuff.

With going away last weekend, I've been a bit slack on the exercise this week apart from some walking last Friday and Saturday. So I was a bit surprised to have still lost 2.8lbs taking me to 18.2lbs off the bodywork. I tend to set myself little goals to keep motivated... so I'm now very excited to be only 1.8lbs to my next goal of 20lbs... or 2.8lbs and will have lost 21lb (or 1½ stone). Certainly gives me something to work towards and a week Sunday (2nd July) I'm off to an old school friend's wedding, so I've also been using that as an incentive to keep going.

What seems like a little loss, all those little losses eventually add up... so I'm thrilled to be down 18.2lbs in 11 weeks. But there's no doubt that my swimming has been helping whittle away the inches. Never thought I'd say it, but I haven't been now for just over a week and have actually missed it.

I hope that you have all had a great week and also have a great weekend. If you've fallen off the wagon... just rule a line under today, jump back on and start again tomorrow. Let's keep going.
