Oh gawd. The holidays have simply DESTROYED my diet. I know that I can get back on track, but yikes! I have more work than I thought when I set out on this journey. I tried on a dress this morning and was reminded of my extra holiday pudge around the midsection. Pants it is! This weekend I am going bridesmaids dress shopping with my friend who is getting married. I am here MOH and need to look good. Plan for this week is to drink gallons of water and adhere to a very strict diet in order to set the tone for the beginning of the year. I am realistic with myself and my expectactions and I don't believe in depriving myself of good food and fun, but I need to watch my portions and keep on my exerxcise regime.

Ok. Since August of last year I have lost 23 pounds. That is fantastic and hard to believe because I don't really feel like I have lost that much. Just recently people have noticed my weight loss... as I have too. It's the best feeling in the world. But post holidays I feel back to my old puffy self... the way I puffed up during 2 years of bad relationships and general life disarray. I feel like I have definitely turned a corner in the recent months after the break up with Mike and Michael's death... and I feel better than ever. So now, in the new year I want to continue to improve and become the best me that I've ever been. And I have absolutely zero doubts that I can't make that happen. My goal is to be down to 150#, a new low for me... it will be quite thin for my figure... but I want to get there and see what its like to be really thin, confident, and healthy as hell. Even just with the recent 10# loss, push ups are easier and more energizing, running is more exhilarating, and my general energy levels are notably more intense. I feel great. But I need to stay focused... quit the remorseful binges and just keep busy and away from heaps of food.
