Greetings to you if you are reading this right now! My weight loss journey begins at the age of 14, when my doctor informed me that I was 208 pounds and was considered obese. Since I knew little about being healthy and losing weight, I kind of knew I had to do something. At the heat of the moment, I vividly remember asking/looking for any type of prescription I could take to lose weight, and sadly there wasn't none for someone of my age. My doctor told me I had to lose 50 pounds to be healthy for my height (5'7) and that I should start eating healthier.
I didn't know what that meant cause I was so addicted to eating fast food and basically junk food every day, which I still have a slight problem with today. So 14 years old, here I was feeling so depressed and anxious and feeling like life was dragging me by the tail. I have to recall, one of the worst experience that I went through was being bullied because I was overweight. I don't know if any of you have gone through that phase when people are making fun of you and looking down on you just because of your weight. If you been through that phase and made it out, I want to congratulate you because that's a tough battle and I just wish and hoped those people that were bullying me understand me. On a side note, I also want to be thankful that I went through that phase in my life cause that's what got me on my weight loss journey; the hatred, harassment and suffers from being bullied.
At the age of 15, I made a commitment to myself that I was going to lose all my fatness and have a toned body. So I started eating healthy and eating less takeout and processed food and basically less junk food that contains a lot of calories. After three months of doing that I lost about 25 pounds just from cutting down from my calorie intake.
