I'm going to lay the blame for my falling off the vegetable truck on my cousin. She was selling doughnuts for a church trip and who can turn away from a curly red-haired kid selling doughnuts? She only had 3 dozen left...and I bought all 3. And ate the majority of them. And after a good friend died suddenly of a massive stroke, I'm feeling very vulnerable. It was so odd, Betty was a slender woman in a family surrounded by obese people. Ah well. My doughnuts didn't seem to bother me too much. I'm going to knuckle down and work on it now. I WANT TO TRY FOR 245 BY APRIL 30.

What a wild winter we are having all of a sudden here in east Tennessee. When our local groundhog didn't see a shadow, we all began planting flowers and vegetables in our minds. But then we got a 1/2" to 1" of snow...and then ice, and more ice. And the power was out for 2 days. And we've been iced in since Sunday. With a promise of another accumulation starting this PM. I'm doing quite well, even though the internet is in and out. My husband is less enthused. His Cabin fever is mounting, it's not going to be pretty if we don't get off this hill soon. In all this mess, I haven't even kept up with my posting. Is everyone doing ok? Anyone else lain low by this weather?

I wrote a big long whiny tale about all my hobbies and have no idea where it went when I sent it. So if you see it, just ignore it. Starting in the AM tomorrow, I am starting over again and will start 1800 calories a day. Not planning to increase activity at this time because I've messed up my sciatica again. Really not planning to do anything to aggravate it anytime soon. Keep up the good work, guys. I promise to get back on track. Next day...wow! here it is. Ok, this is the morning i'm going to start 1800 cal/day. wish me luck.

I have followed 2000 calories, It's supposed to be enough less to start a loss. I was told by the nutritionists when I had my surgery that 2000 cal would drop the weight to 200lbs. And 1900 calories would bring the weight down to 190lbs. I guess it must apply to more active people than I am at this time. I had to help my husband up off the bed and pulled my back out, again. Now my sciatic nerve is acting up bad. I am not moving around much. I'll do better, I promise.

gaining 1.4 lb a week

1-25-15 9:45AM Don't call the mortuary, I'm still alive. I've just been lazy and not kept up with my e-mails and such. I've tried to behave myself and I've done pretty well at it. I've eaten a lot of spaghetti squash and green beans and tuna this week. My husband has been sick all week and had asked for buttered garlic vermicelli, or as my grand daughter calls it vermin-celly. I've eaten some but rationed it well. Speaking of grand daughters, Caitlin's scopes showed a gastric polyp which they removed and it was benign. Still no idea why she is vomiting and in such stomach pain. Stay tuned for more details as they happen. Hope everyone had a good week. In spite of Rob being sick, I've done well and hope for his recovery soon.
