OMG has it been that long? Where did the time go? I have a multitude of excuses - holidays, illness and injury and most of all I suppose if Im honest a period of just not caring about losing weight. My father became terminally ill and has been undergoing chemo, he has had his good days and bad more recently bad, and my wife started early menopause, but of course you go through seven kinds of hell before you realise that's what is the cause of all the problems. I can well understand why so many couple divorce during this 'phase', but, now I know what the problem is Ive tried to become more understanding, and caring, and she too knowing her hormones and raging tries to understand when she is getting upset with me for some real or imagined thing Ive done or not done - like giving her a surprise and her thinking I could have done it better........Im sure a lot of guys out there know what I mean.

So I found that for some inexplicable reason good diet and lifestyle was just unimportant, crazy huh? Not that I ever really made a conscious decision to stop dieting, it just happened. I just got on with life, worked harder, bought a renovation project and started working nights and weekends on it eating crap, not going to the gym, then this morning jumped on the scales. Damn all that earlier good work gone. Oh well, back to the grindstone. I know I can do it - I've done it before, its just a bloody big speed hump on my highway.

I don't want to make excuses, or blame anyone or anything other than myself.

So cut back - way back on the alcohol, and today has been a fast day, the first of many to come, and I got through it OK, its 6pm and I will not overeat at dinner, so its day 1, all over again, anyone know how to spell deja vu ?

Im back on the horse.
