I try to stay active, even though I have chronic pain. I have embraced the pain and find resolutions on how I can achieve my goals. I've joined a walk/run club with my local running store. I'm the slowest. I've already walked 2 5k's. The first I walked in 53.3 minutes and last week was a trail run I completed in 50.2 minutes. Walking is one of the most painful things I do but I'm learning to work with and control the pain. Make sure you have a good pair of shoes that fit properly otherwise you will mess up your feet. I like biking, so I do have a low-step through bike on layaway. I still have my regular bike too. I like kayaking with LL Bean's Outdoor Discovery schools. Even though i have a herniated disc in my lower back and titanium screws in my wrist, I am able to kayak. I love being on the water. It is so peaceful and calming. I just love being outdoors working out. No cellphone except for emergencies, just quite time to enjoy life and nature. With my health restrictions, I have found resolutions to enjoy outdoor activities. As long as I am on this earth, I am going to enjoy my life while trying to lose weight.
