I had lost 50lbs 12 years ago and it was creaping back on. I was struggling with sugar/carb addition and couldn't lose weight for the life of me. I had no energy or drive. I started Take Shape for Life (medifast) in March 2014. I had a BMI of 27 and a goal to lose 25lbs. In 4 months I surpassed my goal by losing 30lbs and reduced my BMI to 21.5. I look great, am full of energy, no longer take Cholestrol meds. and am eating lots of healthy low carb foods 5-6 times a day. I now have to re-incorporate exercise for ultimate health, and match that with increasing my calorie intake for maintenence. I joined this site to help count calories and establish portion control to maintain my weight loss and continue down the path to ultimate health.

I don't know what to do
Cut out high carbs. No sugar, rice, bread, pasta, peas, carrots, corn or fruit. No chips or fast food. No chinese, pizza, or mexican food. No bacon, hot dogs etc.

Fill your plate with veggies, and 5-7 oz of lean protein.

Only drink water, morning coffee or tea is ok, no sweetners.

Trade milk with unsweetened almond milk.
Trade eggs with egg whites.
Trade mayo with Hummus.
Trade chips with a small handful of raw nuts.

It's a tall order but you organs and joints will appreciate it!

You'll go through detox from sugar addition.

You've got drive! You can do it! Don't let haters get in your way. It's your health not theirs.
