I had a surprise drop this morning when I weighed ... I am 198 lbs so for the first time in several months I am again in the 190s. I guess all that walking from last week at Disney helped jump start something. Also the water drinking from yesterday as well as the keen focus of eating on plan and only when I am hungry. I want to go back to my pre-vacation plan of not weighing / recording my weight daily but this week I need to track my back to ketosis progress and weight fluctuation as a learning. I want to understand my body and its reaction to activity/ food in the same way that Drag does. It will help me to manage myself now in maintenance.

I am back to work with a vengeance! 2 articles to write, some Business Development activities to execute including reaching out to some of our leads. I have a lunch meeting with my boss on Thursday to talk strategy! Cranking up the brain with some caffeine right now and will dive into research and writing immediately after. Take care friends and have a golden day!

Back from Disney World! Had a wonderful time with my family creating magical memories. Those who have been there know it's a lot of walking so it was my saving grace. I came back to discover that I lost the 2 lbs I gained just before I went on vacation. There were times on this trip that I had to exercise incredible self-control and there were other times that I over-indulged (For example on my daughter's birthday when we went to Ohana at Disney Polynesian Resort - the grilled food was sooooooo good). I expected to come back with a good gain but when I hopped on the scale this morning I was surprised to see 200 ... Really? At the same time, I felt like I walked 10,000 miles everyday - I had sore legs and hips for first couple of days but I was fine after that. Now that I am back on the desk I am wondering if it will pile on! I have to get myself up and active now that it is warmer! I hope the Disney pixie dust is good to me and the warmer trends continue here! I am following the example of Draglist by consuming a lot of water and keeping my food choices on plan. It has worked before ... hope it works again! Have a great day all! Stay golden ....

Decided to do my final weigh-in before I leave for vacation and was surprised with a 2 lb increase - especially since I have been keeping it tight. However, not at all concerned about it since I have successfully eaten right and tight without cheating this whole time. My challenge next week is to try to keep things under control as much as I can since I will be eating foods not prepared by myself. I have tried to take control by ordering some groceries to be delivered at our resort tomorrow. I have cottage cheese, whipped cream, lots of water, coleslaw, nuts, etc. This will help but the truth is, most of our meals will be out of my control in terms of what's in it ... my aim will be to enjoy my time with my family and eat the best I can without making a big deal. I am prepared to refocus once I get back. I will still try to log my food if I can. Have a great week y'all! Keep the focus and ... be golden!
