I've just joined because my friend suggested that I do, to help me keep track of my progress and get support. I have always struggled with my weight, even when I was quite young. I am an emotional eater and comforted myself when things got tough or when I was stressed. I always had a hard time stopping eating, even if I was full or knew that I shouldn't (and ofter couldn't) eat anymore.

In June 2009, a month before my mother's wedding, I decided to join a gym (for the millionth time in my life) but I also decided to make a commitment to myself to stick with it and really try. A year later, I've lost a total of 38 lbs and feel so much better as I'm able to do more things, be active, go clothes shopping and eat without the guilt. I still have a bit of ways to go as I'd like to get down to 150 lbs (10 more lbs to lose) and firm up as my muscles and skin aren't toned. Looking forward to the rest of my journey!
