CONFUSED???
I've definitely experienced that myself, my weight has always been a constant see-saw. The sad part is, we over eat and then feel terrible, but we also tend to over eat once we've reached our goals as a form of reward, only to start the cycle all over again. There is one thing that will motivate anyone, and that is RESULTS. We know what it takes to get there, yet it's still a struggle. I think one person said it best, you can't go into this depriving yourself of anything, it's unrealistic and unsustainable. You have to tell yourself, you can have ANYTHING you want to eat (just in moderation of course). That way, you don't feel guilty when you eat certain things. You'll find yourself craving the "bad" foods less and less as time goes on because they're not off limits. It's the old saying, "we want what we can't have", it really does apply to all facets of life. So I think critical to success is not saying we CAN'T to anything, including what we eat. Try saying to yourself, I'm going to have this amount of chocolate today, and then try to stick with smaller portions. Also, try to fill your day with other positive things so you dont become overly focused on just the food that makes you feel good. Remember also that anything in life is temporary, you can change, but it's just as much as mental change as it is physical. You have to work on the mental part first, changing your habits and the viscious cycle you're in, and the physical will follow.
Good luck.
