I actually weighed 237 at the beginning of the year, I now weigh 229. I have stared the weight watcher plan and vowed to myself to cook out of weight watcher cook books for 30 days. On Sunday Jan. 31 it will be 30 days of cooking at home for myself every night.
I am proud that I have lost eight pounds in a month and I plan to contuie to cook out of the cookbooks until I reach my goal.
I am writing my food down in my own hand-written food journal because it is easier for me. I have also begun cooking vegetarian twice a week. At first this was and still is to save $$ but now I like how I feel after a vegetarian meal.
I have had ups and downs with weight loss but I guess I just am starting to learn that I am addicted to food. I use it for everything. I am an emotional eater; every emotion I have I eat!! I am learning to talk about my feelings and tell people how I really feel about them and situations.
I am learning that I can no longer pretend to be happy. I am taking steps to get my live back and become my own person. I know I will slip up sometimes but Rome was not built in a day. So I will continue to chugg along with the mind set of the little engine that could. I think I can, I think I can, and one day I will tell myself I know I can.

Finally got tired enough of my current situation so that I am now resisting trigger foods and foods that I binge on. I also lost two pounds this week.
I also realized that I have 90 more to-go. Baby steps...baby steps.
