Haven't put any thought into my weightloss in the past 5 months due to a big ol depression spiral kicked off by my cat passing away at only 9 years old. She was abandoned by her mother very early so I had to bottle feed her and all for weeks. Had to wake up every 2 hours to feed her those first 2 weeks. I was 19 at the time and hadn't expected fostering a single kitten would be so exhausting! But it was so worth it. I loved that little bean so much.

Her death has hit me much harder than any other loss of a pet so far because of all that, I think. (picture related; my little gremlin girl skulking around the kitchen table when she was still with us. She didn't even like people food, if you gave her any she'd just bat it around on the floor and not eat it. She just liked to stare at us while we ate lol)

I finally decided to weigh myself today and get the anxiety of it all over with so I could get back to it. I've gotten very tired of stagnating so severely.

I was expecting to have gained most of it back, braced myself to see that dreaded 3 on the scale.. But I've somehow LOST weight? I mean less than 1lb per month is barely anything for someone of my height and weight but wow.. I figured even hoping I maintained was being too naive and optimistic. Especially with all the dang Halloween candy 🎃

I guess those months of OMAD and very low calorie helped reset how much my stomach and brain thinks it takes to get full, so there's less binging/mindless eating.

Alright, essay-sized rant into the void finished! I hope y'all have a good Thanksgiving, if you celebrate it! 🦃
