I tried something crazy this morning. I was watching Dr. Oz. He had a guest who claimed that you could "shock" your metabolism into losing weight by standing in an ice cold shower for 3-5 minutes. OMG ... I lasted about 90 seconds. I will try again tomorrow. But. oh my, I'm not sure I can do this. woohoo that water was cold!
I'm very proud of myself! I went out to lunch with a friend and made very healthy choices. Yeah me! Chicken stir fry with lots of vegetables, and a small amount of brown rice. It was filling and satisfying.

Okay, I'm going to try to go back to workout class today. I'm going to take it a little easier today. My thighs are still pretty sore. UGH! this is what happens when you let yourself go :(.

I am soooo sore. Went to KRC Worth the weight class yesterday. It has been so long since I've exercised. My legs hurt, my back hurts, my arms hurt. Everything hurts! I'm going to keep at it. Today, I might try to take it easier and walk on the tread mill instead of going to a class.

I started over today. I bought this book, The g.i. Diet Clinic A 13 week plan for permanent and healthy weight loss. I need this to work. I have a big birthday coming up. I want to lose 20 pounds by the time my 50th birthday in 8 weeks. I really hope I can do it!!!! I think I have a much better attitude this time around. I'm not going for quick fixes. I'm going for a change in life style. I know the weight won't "fall off". It will be slow but hopefully steady. I also need to put exercise back into my routine. I went to work out tonight - a class that I use to love. I felt like I was going to vomit about half way into the class. I kept going...barely. By the time the class was over, my arms and legs were like jello. Oh well ... baby steps right!
