Okay, all ready to get started Monday. My wife and I are going on the South Beach Diet together at the encouragemnet of friends who did the same with great results. We are mostly using the South Beach Diet Cookbook as a guide. We've stocked the house with Phase 1 friendly ingredients that should last us two weeks. Our challenge is that we have a busy on-the-go lifestyle, and two kids that are extremely fussy eaters. We've also stocked up on South Beach Diet Phase 1 frozen meals, which will have to do when we are in a hurry. We are both starting an exercise plan at the same time, my wife at Curves, and I hiking a local mountain. I'm going to have a hard time giving up fruit, and my wife giving up Pepsi. Phase 1 breakfasts may be the hardest, but I've never been a breakfast eater. I'm thinking plain fat-free yogurt mixed with vanilla or sugar free jello powder, which my wife like to mix in cottage cheese. I'm mostly trying to rid myself of my belly bulge, and my wife her hips. Losing inches is more important than losing weight for both of us. We'll stay on the diet phases 1 and 2 until we get to the look we wnat, then go to phase 3 and be reasonable on the extras.
