Muscle Weight is a Problem
Hello.


Besides the excess fat I have on my body that makes me overweight, I have about 20-25lbs of Muscle weight as well.

I played High School Football for 3 years and put on a lot of muscle.

The problem is, to get into the US Air Force, for my height, ( 5'10" ) , I have to reach a weight of 186 lbs.


Before joining this website, at the beginning of the year I weighed almost 300 lbs, and after 8 months of dieting and exercise I now weigh about 252lbs.

However, everyone tells me that I look about 200-210lbs, especially since I am a size 36 waist (men) and a Large-XL shirt size depending on the fabric.

Does anyone here know if my muscle mass is helping me burn fat - or keeping my weight stubbornly high?
