I lived the Low Carb Lifestyle for almost 4 years 2000-2004... It was great. I felt good--looked good-- I ate great-- I didn't have heartburn,pimples and and then I thought I could do without it--big big mistake. I have had many returns to the lifestyle but I was not serious with follow-through--So Today I am reflecting on why won't I follow through on something that I know I truly want.

I think I am frustrated. I am back where I told everyone I would never go again. I was a leader of a weight loss club--I felt so bad when members of our group would get into "funks" like what I am in now. I must have thought that I couldn't make mistakes. I am human. I can make mistakes, but I also have choices and the choices are up to me to make.

I do have to admit it was kind of embarrassing when people would make a fuss over my weight-loss. I was known as the person who lost all the weight--or the former-FATTY. Now they like to talk how horrible the diet that I was on was---HELLO the lifestyle is what kept me healthy--it was my poor choices that made me unhealthy.

I have returned to the journaling and the food intake diary because I feel it is like a checkbook. I may feel like there is plenty of money in the account but when I start getting overdrafts---it is too late. This is true with food. It is just too easy to get off-balance.

They say in 21 days your lifestyle change gets easier---so I have 2.5 weeks left. I will keep going and follow through. So here are 10 things I miss about this lifestyle.

1. Not having Heartburn
2. Not having pimples
3. Able to wear short sleeves without taking flight when the wind blows hard
4. Not snoring
5. Having a romantic time with husband with lights on :)
6. No back pains
7. Able to shop for clothes without an X after the size
8. Able to fit in the amusement rides seats without crushing yourself or other riders
9. Able to sit in airplane seats without the armrest half way up
10. Feeling healthy
