Well I'm stumped. I was sure I was going to gain a kilo between yesterday and today, since yesterday I was at a friend's and I didn't even think about what I ate before it was in my stomach. This included waffles, chocolate milk and other processed food snacks.
But nope. I woke up this morning and I weighed less than I did yesterday morning.
I'm not sure how this happened (well, I'm semi sure, I've still got traces of food poisoning I got at th airport - which I utterly ignored when I gobbled down milkstuff yesterday, but I still a HUGE amount, and there's no way I've already gotten it out of my system),
but I'm not complaining.

Fat women are apparently not allowed to go trekking.
I'm going on a backpacking trip in India next week. I spent half of today trying to find pants suitable for trekking. Could find NOTHING. Sure, men's sizes went up into the various X's, but for women? Nothing.
I find this absurd.
I'm active. I can fit into an airplane seat and don't need extra things to get the belt to close. I'm in a better physical shape than most people I know, regardless of their weight.
So yeah, I'm still a fatass. But the lack of trekking pants is going to keep me from being able to trek, and this upsets me to no end.
I want to trek. I want to pack a small backpack and go up into the mountains of Ladakh and Napal and walk for days on end. I can't do that with a skirt.
So I guess this is society's way of saying "you're fat. we expect you to lose weight and we don't expect you to actually go trekking, because you're too fat."
(yes, this was a venting entry)
