Hi! My name is Brittany, I am just starting Atkins and am looking to lose about 50 lbs. I've tried counting calories and doing Weight Watchers in the past and while both worked, my success was short lived. This time I am much more motivated and determined! Good luck to us all :D

Thanks for the advice! I planned to wait the 2 weeks but I am now on day 8 and have already stalled out a bit on the weight loss. I lost 4 lbs in the first 4 days, then zip after 'cheating' with a few drinks on Friday. I figured I could do the exercise with extra water (on top of the lots and lots I drink already - its rare to not see me with a glass of water in my hands!). Good to see others on Atkins on here, its a simple program but lots of little pitfalls. I appreciate any tips I can get!

I am on Atkins now to lose about 50 lbs that I've gained since my last bout with Weight Watchers. WW worked for me then, but the program didn't fit with my lifestyle so I am changing it up!

I need motivation to keep on going, especially with exercise. I exercised today for the first time in a long time and am shocked at how low my stamina is! I used to do 45 mins on the elliptical 3-4x a week, and I barely made it through 15 mins...but a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, right?

Keeping on track and not being too lazy to put together full meals and measuring/tracking all of my food is another hurdle. I'm usually pretty good but I get hard on myself on those days when I do slip or when I can't always track exactly what I ate. Glad to be a part of the FS community! I think mutual support and encouragement is a cornerstone to any diet plan! Good luck to all!
