1st pic of home cooked lunch. Did prep cooking for hubs lunch & dinner. Bought myself some uninterrupted work time.

930am: Intake 500 kcal. 50% fat. Sodium 500mg.
Two poached eggs w/sauteed mushroom should hold till lunch. It's an office day. Trying to phone work standing.

It's 5pm. I have 700 calories left for the day. Better than yesterday. Today I got another walk in. Semi-day off. A woman's work is never done. The only time I get mental down time is when I'm away from the house. Have trouble with compartmentalizing. Already making my Monday schedule. The lines blur when working out of the home.
I didn't get enough protein today. Will fix with some hummus for dinner. I did ok with fat intake, could be better. That's tonight and tomorrow. Trying to eat my fresh watermelon (before I have to freeze the rest)
Carb intake is another story. Had kiwi planned for tonight's treat. Hope that's what it takes to control the sweet cravings.
Tomorrow is Salmon day with tzatziki sauce. Happy dance. Always happen when salmon day comes into rotation.

Here's a bit more on what friends, family, & life has taught me about taking care of myself & loved ones..
Put on my oxygen mask first.
Believe in the miracle of modern medicine, but do due diligence in research whenever time allows.
Fact check, 2nd opinions, know your source.
Holistic approaches work. My sources are things I've learned growing up. I spent a year working as an herbalist translator. Wish Google was around then.
E.g., I drank prunella tea growing up before I knew what it was called. Ginger is a powerful root that was used daily in our food.
I'm finding my way back to my roots in food and medicine (less side affects)
Every body has different needs.
Quality & quantities matters.
In my case portion control has to be relearned.
Feed the soul not just the body.
What my body wants & needs are sometimes 2 different things.
Find life balance.
It's a lifetime of learning...
I'm a turtle and it's ok to go slow.
