I’m finding wonderful inspiration here, and support! I wished I had found this earlier in my weight loss journey! Like years ago!
But.. gotta hand it to technology! Everyone is amazing! Though I, at this point in my life, had to go ahead and do bariatric surgery, I had the bypass Nov. 2017, it was have it, or end up in a wheel chair. My arthritis and degenerative disc disease, as well as other age related spinal issues, got so bad, due to my weight, and genetics, I was becoming unable to walk, even with a cane. I had to get a bariatric walker also. The pain has been so bad for so long, it makes you want to give up.
I started my journey, and walked in to the bariatric surgeons office, at 345 pounds, last July. God was looking out for me, I know for sure, because my primary insurance of Medicare, and my secondary via my husband, paid for it all. I had met my deductibles, and the journey began. I couldn’t even exercise well or at all, to lose the 20 pounds for a good faith start they wanted, so, I and my hubby, decided to do the post op diet plan to do it. I lived on protein drinks and a meal here and there, for three and a half months, and walking with my walker. I managed to do it, The doctor is amazing as is his entire staff!
Supportive and very non judgemental. Even when someone gained weight! I attended support groups, and loved it.
So, you all keep up the great work, and I’ll keep being inspired by you all. Thank you, from the bottom of my losing butt!

You’ll not regret it in the end. I have arthritis and my orthopedic surgeon was planning hip surgery for ‘degenerative hip joint’ two years ago. Guess what? It’s regenerating. So you can get better but you have to feed yourself high quality fat and protein and as puny carbs, all plant based high nutrient will serve to regrow Synovial membrane and 30 minutes movement per day Synovial fluid. But you are doing what you have to take weight off your joints while you heal. It may take a few years, but you can do it. Progress every day. Good luck and I’ll follow you so see how you do. I’ve lost 150 lbs on a LCHF program a decade ago, but let myself go until recently. I’m just back on it, 20lbs down. Good luck 🍀
