your body can flucuate daily betwen 1 - 5lbs ... its usually water especially if you had a salty meal the night before. 1lb is nothing you may need to go to the bathroom. Best time to weigh oneself is upon waking after your morning bathroom break then straight the scale

I feel like I didn't eat very good yesterday either. I am hoping it's muscle. I started working out with trainer last night and I have to say, it was the first time that I left the gym sore in a while. I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing and counting my calories. I just bought a measuring tape and I am going to start measuring myself because I'd truly rather see inches coming off. Josh - Thanks for the info, not to give too much information, but I think that I need to retrain my body so that I can take that morning bathroom break! Or better yet, I think that I need to quit weighing myself daily and stick to just a weekly check in.

Weekly checkin is most likely the best. Weight from day to day can fluctuate greatly, like josh said. Also, weighing at a time of day/week that is consistent, daily/weekly, will give more accurate results. Morning on an empty stomach seems to be the consensus. I used to weight myself after my afternoon workout and noticed that one day it would be up 2lbs and the next down 4lbs. Ultimately, do let it discourage you, stick to your diet/exercise and you will see the results!! Keep working hard!
