Up a bit today to 221.8

Yesterday I exceeded RDI a little, with hunger from biking probably. Exercise causes appetite, there is no denying that. I had pistachios late for a snack, and they are very salty out here with a coating of something odd like seawater.

Today I got up and went for a bike ride. I was super sore the 1st mile and a half, but once I pushed through it went well. It was 8AM and 98 degrees, and luckily it stayed 99 the whole ride. I know a lot of people balk at the heat I ride in, however your body adjusts to heat much faster than people would think. After the several years here, temps in the 100-110 range dont really phase me, its like the 90's in Florida to me. When it gets around 120 is when I know its hot! As long as your properly geared up, and carry your fluids, your fine. There is also a few weeks around August when a wave of humidity hits, thats brutal.

Anyway, ride was nice, I found a new route that takes me by a friends house. I need to check the distance at strava.

After my bike ride I spent a hour or two in the yard (covered) cleaning my bike up properly, and checking all the bolts/nuts. I cleaned the chain thoroughly, and did my best to lube it up. With all the dust here, it gets gunked up with gritty crud. I never thought I would be scrubbing a bike chain with rags and stuff, then lubing it back up. The post cleaning test ride went great.

Well, off to eat my 1st meal of the day at 1130. I did chow down on a banana right after my ride. I dont feel hungry, but when standing in the kitchen I know I am famished.
