You might want to look at your nut consumption. Nuts are limited to one serving per day. Lots of us here have had trouble with nuts. One serving of almonds is 15 -dry roasted recommended. I have a hard time limiting myself on almonds so I had to bannish them from the house again for a while. ImLuuvd said she puts her daily dose of nuts into a little baggie and eats a few when she feels like it.. when the baggie is empty that's it, done for the day. Here are some other one serving sizes Dry roastred recommended... Pecans 15 Pistachios - 30 Walnuts - 15 Peanuts - 20 small Macadamia - 8 Cashews - 15 Peanut Butter - 1 teaspoon Peanut Butter-Natual- 2 Tablespoons

For phase 1 there are many reasons wine or any alcohol is a big no-no. The sugars that I don't need to explain but also it slows your metabolism. Also I believe they are empty calories. I LOVE my wine, in fact I almost drank wine every night while I cooked dinner, I thought it would be really hard to give up for 14 days. It was so well worth it! Then I started adding red wine which is what SB recommends, only two glasses at most every now and then like on a weekend. I have found that now I can have a few glasses of red wine even a few times a week and I still lose weight. I did NOT at first though. In fact when I had company for a week and I was drinking nightly, celebrating and having fun, you can clearly see in my weight loss graph where I was doing that! Its the only spot I stayed the same for as long as I did. There really is science that goes into this plan and believe me, if you stick to it the first 14 days it really does get easier and so very worth it!

Wow ImLuuvd, I never noticed that about your chart before. you are right, its realy easy to spot when your dad and I came to visit and the holiday dinner with inlaws. Wine did show up clearly as the culprit! because you certainly ate all the right things

oh ya, it was the wine, took me a while to get back on track and get my metabolism right again. I had to give up wine again for like 2 weeks before it straightened out. Now I can have it, but that was a little too soon and little too much at once. Funny huh?

Thanks you guys. I guess I'll just cut out as much wine as I can and see what happens. I've lost 8 lbs in Phase 1. Today will be the end of my two weeks. I do need to think about my nut habit. I know I'm eating more servings than one some days....good advice. Anyone have "good snack" ideas? At sccial gatherings I need to have a few stand bys.
