I've totally given in to eating really great food. It's more expensive, but worth it - it actually keeps me more satisfied and at this point (8 months in to a very strict diet) it's what it's going to take to make it through the home stretch. Homemade crabcakes are on the menu today. After reaching goal weight, then it's fitness and diet vigilance. I'll never let that fat get all over me again. Seriously I'm not kidding. My appetite no longer rules my life. It's so good to be alive and I'm so grateful I've gotten this miracle. God has blessed me and never gave up on me even when I gave up on myself. My mother was the one who insisted I get my thyroid checked. It was actually her who saved me in this physical world. God does work in mysterious ways. The rest was up to me and I'm not wasting the opportunity to live a good, active, and healthy life.

Here's my crab cake recipe, if anyone is interested... 16 oz canned lump backfin blue crab 1 egg 1 oz minced vidalia onion 1 oz plain bread crumbs (make your own, it's more in your control) add salt pepper, garlic powder, old bay, paprika AT YOUR DISCRETION mix well. Make 5 ounce patties. You'll get 4 patties. *****Take note, these cakes just BARELY hold together. Be careful.***** Score one patty as 4 0z blue crab 1/4 oz plain bread crumbs 1/4 oz vidalia/sweet onion calories..........147 protein...........21.95g carbs.............5.46g (you can take out the onion) fat...............2.82g fiber............. .6g
