The science behind Atkins promotes eating enough calories for optimal loss. While you are omitting unnecessary carbs from your diet, replacing with high fat and protein, you must consume a certain # of calories each day. For many of us those are in the range of 1500-1800. Others need slightly less and some require more. If this is working for you - aim for that. Great job on the loss.
