Walked the full 3.1 miles this AM with doggies...foot felt fine....LOTS of light mist that added hydration to my skin as an added bonus - LOL!

Working this WOE hard...the only disadvantage is that I'm cold without wearing 3 layers or having a blanket on me. I went back into the Atkins book and found a number of sections that really seemed to speak to me with respect to what's going on right now. Hope I can keep this focus.

Went grocery shopping yesterday and bought a nice (cheap) roast, as DH has been wanting one. It's in the crock pot now (DH is off so he's the chef on this) and we're waiting to put in the celery, carrots, sweet onions, scallions, peppers, and mushrooms. I also found some assorted sweet mini-peppers in various colors, all put together in a bag, so that will add color to the stew and color in his salads (I'm not a big pepper fan, although I eat them from time to time). He also cooked up extra chicken, beyond what he's making for his workday lunches, and some bacon.

All in all, I got lots of fresh veggies and other Atkins-friendly foods yesterday. I usually get a fair amount, but with the prospect of a stew, I really stocked up.

We installed the new microwave on Saturday and it works great and looks just like the old one....which was the objective in buying an identical one. We had a few glitches to the installation, but DH, great cobbler that he is, worked his magic and found a way to work around the issue.

As we were putting it in, however, I had a very location-specific, intense headache come on very quickly....enough to make me have to stop working. We nearly went to the ER, as things like that are generally not good indicators. No other symptoms and my BP was just fine. Although it eventually subsided, it's one of those things that I'll be asking about at a doctor visit.
159.0 lb Lost so far: 76.0 lb.    Still to go: 14.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Sandy, glad that you got your walk in, got some great food in the larder, a stew in the crock pot, and the microwave installed. Now to the other issue in your journal...that headache may be nothing, but it would be best to ask the doc about it sooner rather than later. Hugs, my friend! Take care and don't overdo!

You're right about that, Stef. You know, I always feel like I'm taking up valuable time that should really go to people who are fainting, bleeding, have broken bones, are having seizures, or something similar. But because I've had a light, but nagging headache all day today, I may just make that appointment tomorrow....I'm (over)due for regular blood tests and a check-up anyway. You take care of yourself, too!!
