Well. Tomorrow is the first day. My husband and I are going to join the local gym, take measurements, take 'before' pictures etc. I'm looking forward to being back, and seeing what I can do with 2008!!

How is everyone else managing through the holidays? It has been horrible for me. Too many candies, cookies, pies, fudge, etc. And it is really bothering me...I was looking through old family albums, and my family, especially my Dad and brother, have really ballooned in weight over the past few years. I am hoping that my efforts can have a positive influence on them. I also see how poorly my children eat, and I don't want to see them with a life time of food struggles and poor self image :(

Sounds like you are off to a great start! The holidays are really hard. I've been a slacker on the diet this week, need to get back on track. The before photos are a really good idea. When I started this diet I took monthly "progress photos" and it was so amazing to me to see the differences. But, I didn't have a good start photo as I'd managed to hide from the camera pretty well (which is saying something given that I have two young kids and we take pictures of them all the time). I'm sure you'll be a great example for your kids. Good luck!

Sounds like you have an awesome plan of attack! That is just so key... I swear that if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail! Slipping a little, I believe is inevitable, along the way. However, that's what we are all here for!! Good luck!!
