Teddy's Journal, 09 December 2007

Nothing major to report. I have been struggling to get my exercise routine up and running. I keep falling prey to low motivation. However, I have been working hard to build a climbing wall-- which is largely for our kids, but will hopefully encourage me to climb regularly. When construction is finished I will post a picture of the wall.
162.2 lb Lost so far: 9.8 lb.    Still to go: 2.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I'm also struggling with keeping up an exercise routine (same problem with the low motivation). I thought I had something going a while ago but fell down on it again. Let me know if you find something that really works for you.

Hi information- thanks for the comment. I don't have any great ideas yet for exercise. Two things have worked for me in the past. One was having concrete goals for exercise related to diet. I did this this summer, and it worked, until I met my goals and exercise became more inconvenient. The second, which worked much better, was that I got excited about a sport, and that motivated me to exercise in relation to the sport. I am hoping to get the second one going again. My limitation is that I don't have the time to totally get into the sport (climbing). But perhaps getting into it a bit will be enough.
