It's really tough starting out. There's a tendency to overdo it because you want results "now!". Charlie Horses are a good indication that you overdid it as well. It's just like the college curriculum - the payoff doesn't come overnight. It's a discipline that you have to develop over time. You will hear it on FS over and over, but journaling what you eat and do is the key to success. Start out gradually. It's amazing what benefit you can get from just walking 30 minutes a day, and increasing the tempo over time for that 30 minutes. You can't tell me that you don't have time to do that while you're going to college, because there are things that you can study via mp3 or IPOD, or even on paper while you are walking. The main thing is that you do 'something' and don't give up. That's what the group is here for - to motivate each other.
