cls1992's Journal, 09 January 2017

Since the surgery on October 20, I have lost 30 lbs. I have 88 lbs to lose to reach my goal of 180. That seems like an impossible goal, but I am meeting the challenge.

Having the surgery was not an automatic weight loss solution, like I thought. The surgery is just a tool, to help the weight to fall off, and alter your lifestyle. I am still needing to drink lots of water, stay away from the wrong carbs, avoid sugar and unhealthy fat, exercise, and all the other things they tell you to help you lose weight.

If you do not do the right things, you will not lose, or you will gain the weight back that you lost. This life long journey is kind of scary to me, because I never seemed to be able to stay on track before. However, when your stomach can only hold a limited amount of food, it makes it a little easier.

I feel good, and still not sorry I had the surgery.

You can do this by making the right choices. If you are still in the losing stage you should be eating protein first and if you have room, then veggies, then good carbs. Work that tool .

My sister in Law had it. She's now a Zumba instructor. You can fall in love with exercise and eating right. Where would she be without it, who knows. She made the most of her 2nd chance. Find people like that and they can inspire you.
