It's been a good month. I was more controlled in my eating during the Thanksgiving long weekend than any Thanksgiving in recent memory. The crowning victory is that I did not drink alcohol the entire Thanksgiving holiday in spite of eggnog and wine flowing with our family here, and did not drink on a recent trip to visit my sweet sister out of state. I attribute my slow but relatively steady weight loss over the past 4 months to staying off wine. Alcohol seems to take away my self-discipline, in addition to adding calories. Look out, Christmas, here I come!
I've gained a little over this time, but I'm confident that it will come off, and I'll keep losing.

Hi metmora 😀 Thanksgiving was a bit of a challenge for me. Not so much the alcohol, because all I drink anymore is water lol Dinner was at the bro-in-law and everything BUT the ham was super carby!
Christmas Eve & Day are at OUR place, so we're doing it buffet-style with a bone-in ham, roast duck and ALL my fav appetizers like jalapeno poppers, rumaki, deviled eggs & a shrimp platter with low carb cocktail sauce. The guys can still have their stuffing, baked apple & booze 😉 I will have a piece of my low-carb pecan pie with whipped heavy cream!
