Rckc's Journal, 26 August 2016

Finished with my fat fast. Went 4 days drinking bulletproof coffee and BCAAs. No hunger, just mouth boredom. Was going to go 5 days but husband will be home today and am really looking forward to STEAK and BRUSSELS SPROUTS tonight!

I know there will most likely be a bounce back on weight once I start eating again. But am confident of my plan. I weigh in on Fridays so that will give my body time to settle in while transitioning back to LCHF. I will start my days with coffee with coconut oil, I will eat supper, I will keep calories around 1200. I may attempt the 5:2 strategy again after awhile.

My husband is on vacation the next 2 weeks. Lots of things to get done around the house. Always more challenging when he's home. He's very supportive but it's always easier for me eating wise when it's only me.

Good job on the fast! I think the trick is to keep things very controlled as you move into the next week. I didn't and went straight to vacation -- not good!

I'm vegan and that works for me however once upon a time HFLC worked for me, the numbers don't lie. Fruits and unprocessed are great for your body but reall sh*tty for some. I'm one of those people that had a real hard time with serious side effects going to fruits and high carb intake, but eventually it did stabilize. Coffee is a natural appetite suppressant as is oil. Unfortunately it's not a substance my body can handle anymore without getting really sick. Hope you continue losing weight!!!

@fastingfurious, thank you for your input. I have been doing this for over a year with great success. I tried awhile back to add in berries but FOR ME, it brought back those darn cravings. It makes it so difficult for me to stick with once they hit. I don't "eat" breakfast and rarely lunch, since I do IF. I guess I am more of a "middle of the road" type person and try to be as healthy as <I> can be!

The higher fat for me keeps my hunger away. Hunger was the number one reason I didn't stick to anything before. For me it's a package deal.....
