So it's been a little while since I weighed in. I went to a wedding retreat for the weekend, and had prepared and made all my own food in a cooler. But of course, once there I felt weird not eating with other people, and ended up eating things that definitely weren't on my diet. However, the food there was generally healthy.

On the plane ride back, I got really really sick and ended up in bed for two days. Toward the end of day 2 of being sick, I broke and went and had an amazingly colorix meal consisting of filet mignon, gnocchi, desert, and finished off with 4-5 mini cups of Haagen Daaz ice cream.

Once I got over the flu, I found myself back up about 10 pounds. This was depressing for me, and also an acknowledgment of how quickly the weight comes back when you go off diet. I had convinced myself of a lot of fat logic statements (I was sick, so eating poorly won't make me gain weight, etc).

Anyway, I had to work really hard mentally to get back on the wagon. In the past such events have led me to spiral down and keep eating crap. However, I'm really proud that I pulled it bald together and am now 3 pounds below where I was pre-binge.

Anyway, just wanted to share. So much of this game is keeping yourself in check mentally.

266.0 lb Lost so far: 23.0 lb.    Still to go: 46.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 1.8 lb a week
