Had a good workout yesterday. My weight is coming down slowly, because I can't resist dark chocolate. I do however keep to 1900 calories or less a day. Any suggestions on how to speed up my weight loss. I'm following a shoulder rehabilitation programme drawn up by my biokineticist, and would like to add some trail running.

Well done! Have u tried adding "fast days" into your week ? Read up on www.thefastdiet.co.uk but instead of following a 5:2 system ( 5 normal days and 2 fast days), you can opt for a 4:3(4 normal days and 3 fast days). Feel free to ask questions if you unsure about anything.

Thank you for the info. I'm thinking of Monday, Wednesday and Friday, hopefully it can counter the unplanned eating that happens on the weekends. Should I change my training days, because I do weights on those days?

I am following 4:3(Mon, Wed, Fri) for the same weekend reasons :) It offsets the indulging done on weekends and keeps me in a weekly weight loss path. No need to change your training days. Just start with lower weights initially to get used to it and you will be using heavier weights very quickly. Read my Journal. I documented my journey from the start and there's lots of tips, tricks and tweaks that you can adopt and apply to your journey. It is ok to gain weight sometimes, it will help you understand what caused the weight gain and make better choices the following week.
