172.0 lb Lost so far: 21.0 lb.    Still to go: 20.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Just passed the halfway point. There is more weight loss behind me than ahead of me. Here's a little eye opener and motivational boost I've given myself a couple of times, regardless of whether you've lost 5 lbs so far or 20. Grab an item from your home that equals the weight you've lost and hold in close to your mid section for a minute or two. You can feel the weight in your arms and then when you put it down, you can feel the weight you've lost. I think we get to caught up in how much of a challenge lies ahead instead of celebrating every pound of success behind us. I stood with with 20 lbs in my arms and I can't believe that weight was on my body 2 months ago. It was such a boost to put it down and have a tangible reference to my success so far. The last 20 are going to be far more difficult than the first 20 but it's the little mind games like this that you can play on yourself to make you believe you can do it. Onward and downward.
