Motivated's Journal, 22 September 2007

Day 19 of 2nd 6 wks, 141.6, 37.8%bf, 42.9%tbw, visc fat 8/0, musc mass 83.6/2, bone mass 4.4lb, 2003/50. Eliptical level 5 45 min.

Breakfast omlette, coffee w half and half, lunch salad w chicken and blue cheese dressing, diet coke, dinner snapper, crab, avacado, orange slices, 2 glasses red wine, coffee w half and half.

Decided that one of the reasons I can weigh myself every day and not get bummed when the scale goes up is that I have so many other 'measurements' that I am able to do w my scale and activities. I become an interested observer vs feeling judged by the number on the scale. My weight is a piece of information available to me. It's fun to know that when my weight goes up, other numbers are changing and the increase is water or muscle vs fat. Weighing myself every day, while not typically the advice one receives, has made and increase less disappointing to me.
141.6 lb Lost so far: 17.2 lb.    Still to go: 6.6 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

I would not change a thing. I love to weigh in. Whatever you are doing is certainly working. The scale works for some people and for other people it can ruin an entire day. You are doing great. I sometimes look back on what you are eating and prepare the exact meals for myself. It is obvious to me that you know what you are doing! Great Work!

Thank you! You have made my day! The scale used to ruin my day too--that is why this 'becoming the observer' has been a great success for me personally. That may be the most important change so far.
