I spent most of the week feeling very overweight. From back support belts that were too tight to squeezing into tight spaces at my new job, I got a lot of reminders that my belly still hangs out. And the most frustrating part of all of that is that when I stand profile to the mirror, I don't feel I look all that much different than when I started. Add to that that my ketosis strips keep coming up negative, creating a great sense of uncertainty, and I've been very concerned about my progress or possible backsliding.
So, to step on the scale today and see double-zeroes after the 2 was a really great surprise. I haven't been to the gym in a while, so some of that, hopefully just half a pound or so, is muscle loss. But the rest is fat, and I had to go buy new pants this weekend. The old ones were just too-too big, even with a belt. Closer and closer...
