I am so sorry you are having a difficult time! Life can sure throw us a curve sometimes. Stress is such a demon in our lives, robs us of our happiness and our health. Please know I have said a prayer for you!

Sorry you're in a difficult spot financially, hopefully that'll turn back around. You are right that it's all about choices. Don't worry about what's past, can't change it. Today and now are what we have to work with so it's the choices you make now that are important. Even if other aspects of life are a struggle at the moment, you'll feel better and do better for yourself making the right food choices. Wishing you lots of success.

Food prices in my area have really climbed. I do mainly low carb, Paleo, & Keto. I go to a local Farmers Market to buy Vegs & Fruit. Save quite a bit. I have relatives that hunt & give me lots of venison. If I buy beef, I really have to buy a cheap cut, but are leaner. I raise my own chickens that free roam. Don't have to worry about eggs & cooked chicken. I make a weekly list of acceptable foods, & try to get the ones on sale or reduced. I make my own bread, muffins, pancakes, cheesecakes, etc. I mainly use almond, coconut, flax & soy flours. they can be a little expensive, but last a long time. A couple of banana's & eggs in a blender makes great healthy pancakes. I've been down the road you're traveling, but don't give up. Search for alternatives. I've got you in my prayers.

We were always red meat eaters, not so much now. We have a local store that has very good produce and way less than our farmer's market, where things are high unless there is a glut of a particular veggie. These days my favorite snack is cottage cheese -- low in calories and carbs with a good deal of protein and not nearly as expensive as junk food. Try it with diced strawberries and a little bit of artificial sweetener and it is a great late night snack.

Every one of you have hit a note I need to follow and I am open to advice and I tweek my diet as needed not only for my health issues but coaching is great yes I am open. I have to stay at or under 1400. cals. But that will change in Nov 19 when the Surgon and his nutritionist will give me new guidelines I must follow so even then anything that can help I will and do appreciate. Im with the YWCA. minimal cost to me 22 a mth so keeping it. The Prayers are so appreciated as there is paperwork we are praying will be good enough to clear up this issue completely. Won't know on that for about apx. a week or more. If all goes well income will increase in Nov hopefully. Thank you Thank you Thank you........... ALL

Hi Roienell, don't feel bad gal, sometimes we all need a good rant to let it all out. That's what we're all here for, to help & encourage each other, & that includes sharing thoughts, feelings, frustrations, etc. You've had a lot on your "plate", as they say, & are now starting to think about yourself & your needs, & that is very good. I've been away from FS for awhile due to vacation & other issues, so only seeing this post now. I hope your income increase has gone through, & that all is going well for you now, & wish you continued success on your weight loss journey. ~ ((Skinny Hugs)), GLAMMER
