I'm curious about keto. I've never tried it before. Any advice?
I lost about 10kg on Herbalife 6 years ago and then fell off the wagon and gained 7kg back. But it has become ridiculously too expensive now.

Hi 👋🏻 Keto worked wonders for me! Before my pregnancy I lost about 70KGs on it…. You can check out my profile for some recipes. I combined it with IF… and the results were amazing. Best tips - work out your macros, give yourself time to adjust, and best of all - Keto isn’t a free for all calories wise, so continue to be wary of your calories! Cheeses, Avos, nuts are all of the good stuff! And yummy too! Good luck!

Most of my fat sits around my waist, butt and upper arms. Not sure how macros works. Will need to read up on it. I'm not a huge fan of carbs but do enjoy pasta when we I do make it. Been cutting back on coffee the past 2 days and trying to up my water intake.

Hey you don’t need supplements to lose weight just figure out what your maintenance calories are and go on a 300-500 calorie deficit + strength training. that’s the best way to lose weight. you will have to track every single thing that goes into your mouth even a sweet 😂 the reason why u gained weight is bc you were on a calorie surplus but u didn’t realise. Good luck on your journey! and don’t be too hard on yourself.

Hey! Good luck on your journey. If you want your fat loss to stick, it's a good idea to build a lifestyle that will last a long time. So make changes in a way that you can keep doing - extremes don't last. In WEEK 1, just track your calories. Get used to it, see how much you eat normally. You will also get a really accurate baseline for your calorie intake (most of the BMI stuff is unfortunately not accurate 😞). Fatsectret will literally tell you what your average is. WEEK 2: Cut out sugary drinks. A lot of people see fat loss from doing just that one thing. (Note: my go to for flavour without calories is to take a spice I like e.g. cinnamon (cardamom, star aniseed, bay leaves, be creative), steep it in about 80ml of hot water, cool in the fridge and then pour a little bit in glass with soda water. Ta-da! You have something sugar free but fun to drink. WEEK 3: Change your macros (macros are macronutrients: all the PROTEIN, CARBS AND FAT that you eat. Micronutrients are the vitamins and minerals you eat). Keto didn't work too well for me, so I don't remember what the details are supposed to be. There was a nice post laying out how to adjust your macros for keto. Changing my macros was the hardest part for me. It means getting used to eating differently. Keep doing this for a week or two, until it feels easy. WEEK 4 or 5: You ate now set up for LONG-TERM success. Lower your calorie intake and keep going. AT THE END: Do a maintenance phase for your diet. That's what stops yhe weight from coming back.
