Well most of my weighing have been after working out so they are normally lower…probably by two pounds or more.

Yesterday was big day of exercise. An hour of tough squash. Hate it when the 30 year old beats me. He should have more respect for those 26 years elder. That said it was brutally competitive. He has been training hard for World championship Ball Hockey in Switzerland so his fitness level has caught up to mine. He is quicker to drop shots and getting to balls that he previously could not get to. To beat him means better shotmaking and more time on court practising by myself.

After the tough squash did 15 minutes of Stairmaster at level 16. That got me in a BIG SWEAT…then scooted over and played an hour of tennis doubles. Then an other hour singles. All told a gruelling day.

By all accounts I burnt at least 2000 calories.

Now here is the RUB…..having burnt all those calories I consumed more then normal. Went out for Sushi. Only selected the GOOD Rolls. Then had some frozen yogurt about a cup and a half. my calorie count was 2489 for the day…. so my weigh in this morning was 181.

this is a PUNISHING reinforcement of the number 1 RULE in weight loss/weight management….. NEVER EVER EVER….Did I SAY NEVER….What WE PUT IN OUR MOUTHS IS EVERYTHING. One cannot use exercise as a crutch that says I exercised therefore I can have a TREAT…..No way no how.

Watchword DISCIPLINE….DISCIPLINE and MORE DISCIPLINE!!!

Onwards and upwards!!!
181.0 lb Lost so far: 11.8 lb.    Still to go: 13.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 32.2 lb a week

Very true - but some days we are human, aren't we? Great exercise regimen! I find sushi (even sashimi without the carbs of rice) makes me appear to "gain" - it is the sodium.
