So now I know my cheap scale was lying to me. I'm kind of frustrated about it, but I'm glad I still don't have too long to go. I hope to achieve my goal by summer!

The cheap scale thing really stinks. I got frustrated with cheap scales years ago and bought a doctor;s scale off of ebay. It is the kind where you slide the metal blocks back and forth. It is never wrong. Don't get discouraged. Before you know it, you will be at your goal.

That sucks. Glad you caught it early and have a positive outlook on it. Good luck!

You will get it going down again. Not to worry. :)

I bought a Taylor dial scale and was frustrated with how the indicator kept moving. So after reading that the Taylor is the most inaccurate one, I bought an LED. That showed me at 7 pounds heavier than I had thought. But the Taylor insisted in its number. So, I just keep track of how much down I am, how loose my bracelet and rings are getting, and how I fit into an "old" pair of jeans last week and zipped them up while standing! It's not all about the numbers. You'll get your goal.

Thanks everyone for the support! I remember my grandmother had one of those doctors' scales. It would always work. I have an analog scale, but I did hear the digital ones are more accurate. Yeah, a pair of jeans are a great way of showing weight loss. Thankfully my jeans actually "fitted" now instead of too tight.

Good for you on fitting into your jeans. :)

Jeans are a better measure than the stupid scale!

Thanks Deb and HCB! Yeah, I know when it comes down to it I'm more concerned about how I look rather than the numbers on the scale.

I cleaned Dr. offices at one time (23,000 square feet) and there were 16 scales in that building. I went through one night and I had a different weight on every single scale. I don't have any faith in any scale after that. I just stay with the scale I have and try to focus on clothing and how I am feeling.

Oh wow, yeah I'm starting to realize I shouldn't be so stuck on the numbers the scale may say but more focused on the way I look.
