I have been stuck on the same weight for a week. My calorie average per day is 600cl. I cant cut anymore. Still sticking to the carnivore diet, and i must say i am not hungry anymore. The question is…..how long to continue on this path to reach my goal weight . Or should i take a one day break from the carnivore diet, and hope that it will kickstart my metabolism. Its never worked for me before…i only pick up weight and struggle to loose it again. Is there anyone that had this sudden stop in weight loss so close to their goal weight that can give some ideas that helped them please 🙏

Yes it’s called a plateau, you just have to keep on doing what you do and it will eventually drop. 👌👍

Don't cut too many calories or your body will think your are in starve mode.

600 Calories is totally not good at all. This will be short lived and once you stop ✋ all weight will come back in. This approach is for weddings or swim wear shoot. If you want long term results you need to change the way you eating.

I personally think breaks are important! I fast Monday to Friday and break on weekends! Leaves me feeling satisfied and also less resentful of not being able to eat what I really want! Monday comes and I start again and stick to it!

How’s your fibre intake?

are you sure you are tracking your meats correctly? 600 calorie should be causing a loss. Maybe the fat content is higher than you think?

Wow 600cals sounds like a starvation diet. I don't know anyone who can maintain that and keep it off long term. Maybe your body is fighting this. My progress was fast in the first 6 months and it has slowed down quite a bit - I rarely lose more than 300g - 500g a week but slow and steady wins the race.

Thx for the advice. Think im going to increase carbs slightly and push protein intake this week. As you say Burnbaby, slow and steady. Just dont get discouraged. 🥇🙏

One week is also not too much of a stall, could be hormonal (I tend to stall around my period) or exercise related if you've done a few particularly hard workouts and have some inflammation while muscles are healing. I'm also carnivore and do best on higher fat, lower protein. Have lost 56kg so far since mid-2018 with a couple of falls off the wagon. I'm still losing slowly but am eating a small deficit, I'm normally eating around 1600 - 1800 calories daily. You might have to increase calories so you don't feel too hungry which can also sabotage you.

At 600cal per day your body is trying to hang onto every spare calorie it can. Which results in your metabolism slowing down as your body needs to preserve things like organ function. I think you will find the weight will start to move again if you increase your calorie intake. Sleep and muscle also help in increasing your resting metabolic rate 😊 Just keep the eating clean and I hope you will see the results you are looking for 🤗

Increase your calories a little bit more. Protein is also a good source to increase. The one thing I don’t like about eating “plans” or “diets” is that it ends… then the question is: “Okay whats next?”. I would much rather motivate a lifestyle change where you put yourself in a habit of consuming healthy meals. Have that one cheat meal a week. It’s all a out balance. ✌🏼
