OK.. this is day one of induction!!! so far so good!! I'll take all the support I can get. My husband finally agreed to be totally supportive (he told me i didn't have to buy him his bread and crackers... so that is very nice). Does anyone out there have a thyroid condition?? I have hypo thyroidism and dieting has always meant DRASTIC cut in calories to make a difference. I didn't know if I have to have less then the 20 net grams of carbs or if 20 i okay. I recently had a baby but gained like 90lbs.. so needless to say i did not have a 90 lb kid.. :) i have a minimum of 40 to lose!!!
172.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 47.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

:o) Welcome on board. I have an underfunction of the thyroid gale. New research shows that the glycemic index is a very important number for ppl with my condition. Since I limit the amount of food with a gi above 50 to 50 gramm a day max I really see a difference in my weight loss. Carbs with a gi under 50 are completely ok for me. Maybe that's something for you to look into as well? Courage and enjoy! GG

I have hypothyroidism and take synthroid. It shouldn't make any difference. What you need to do is follow indiction correctly. Eat only acceptable foods and make sure you get 12-16 net carbs from veggies daily! Keep your carbs to 20 for the first two weeks to get into fat burning mode! Welcome and good luck! Vicki
