AddieW's Journal, 23 January 2015

First time posting a journal-
I hope to stay more accountable by puting myself out there. With a three yr old and a five month old at home its getting harder to focus on what I put in my body...time to loose the baby weight...GO ME!

The weekend is upon us. I need to have more will power over the weekends. While I'm at work its much easier to focus on what I eat. I don't know if this is to much weighing in but I think it might help me to weigh in Friday mornings and Monday mornings. Just for now-if I see an increase on Monday I hope it will help the next weekend.

When I first started I weighed in daily. When my weight loss slowed down and even fluctuated up and down a quarter of a pound a day I decided to record my weigh in on Fridays and Mondays for the same reason as you - check my progress on Friday and stay accountable until Monday. Now I only record my weight on Fridays. I still weigh in almost daily, but because the weight is coming off slower it helps me to only record it once a week. You'll do great as you tweak your plans to fit your particular needs for motivation.

Thanks! I had planned to weigh myself once a wk but I think twice is ok. I cant get on the scale every day I know myself I will get to obsessed with it. LOL Last time I did the whole "fast secret" count calories thing was after my first child and lost about 25 lbs. I have a bit more to go this time, but i know I can do it. I tend to over do everything in life good and bad so I know I need to focus on not starving myself but not over eating LOL. The fact that I'm still nursing/pumping makes me very conscience of eating healthy foods and the right amount of calories to support my baby boy :) Thanks for the input...I'm liking this journal thing/support LOL def think it will help

One of the members on this site talks about "putting on her lab coat" as she researches what works for her and what doesn't. That mental picture helps me when I'm "tweaking" my lifestyle. Some things work, some things don't... Finding things that work for your lifestyle is all a process...the only failure is to stop trying.
