I am gaining weight while making better food choices and lowering my blood pressure.
I refuse to be on a diet. I had a bit of ice cream and some honey roasted cashews and have gained almost three pounds. I feel so defeated. I can't give up. I am scared.
255.6 lb Lost so far: 34.4 lb.    Still to go: 125.6 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 2.8 lb a week

In order to lose weight, you must burn more calories than you consume. This doesn't mean you have to give up any foods, but you do have to stay with your RDI (recommended daily intake). If your RDI is 1500 calories a day, then you must plan your meals to equal that number of calories and weigh every bite that goes into your mouth so that you know how many calories you have consumed (I weigh in grams, it's more accurate). We cannot wish ourselves thinner, it takes hard work, but it is worth it. Good luck on your journey, you have our support all along the way.

a lot of the issue most times with dieting to lose weight is just not understanding that you don't have to cut the foods you like to eat out completely but rather reduce the amounts in most cases. my diet most would not believe because it is fast food 6 days a week but because I reduce the portion size to a reasonable level I've lost 85lb. it's all about finding the balance between eating what you enjoy eating and balancing it out with a calorie deficit by the end of the day . nobody is going to stick with a diet where they can't eat what they like.
